The Junction City “Friends of Animals" is participating in the Animal Rescue Site $100,000 "Shelter-Plus Challenge" and needs community help to win. The program began January 18th and continues until April 18th with grants of $1,000 to $10,000 awarded to winning shelters. Winners are determined by the number of free, on-line votes they receive from their supporters. Friends of Animals continues to climb in the rankings among the over 7,000 shelters and rescues taking part in this challenge. The link to support the Junction City Friends of Animals in the "Shelter-Plus Challenge" is www.foa-ks.com. Voting is daily until the contest ends April 18th. The website will be updated weekly with current standings.
